The Art of Musical Theatre.

Providing authentic, high quality training in singing, dancing and acting for new and emerging young artists, our programs allow them to hone their skills, explore their passion, and become well-rounded performers and humans.

Our growth minded approach incorporates engaging warm ups, fun technical and skill building exercises, progressive class structures and full cast bonding activities. Each student gets their chance to shine in our program, receiving individual attention and coaching to reach new heights.

Our team of industry professionals are committed to providing a high energy, engaging and co-operative experience, no matter the level.

All classes receive recordings of their performances, performance photographs, scripts, duotangs and pencils. We use Google Drive to share rehearsal materials and videos for practice at home.

SPECIAL OFFER 2024/25 SEASON: All musical theatre students receive $150 credit towards their registration when they register for a dance class.

First Musical Theatre | SK - Gr.1

Discover the world of musical theatre! Classes focus on vocal technique, core dance foundations and acting skills.

Saturdays 12:15-1:15pm

Our 60-minute action packed class dedicates equal time to singing, dancing and acting. Your little star will learn introductory vocal technique and musical knowledge, fundamental dance skills and choreography, and explore storytelling and speech through drama games. Children are all characters! Our classes help them add new dimensions to those characters by engaging the imagination, building confidence and encouraging teamwork.

Each term ends with a performance written and created by our team, with lots of individual moments to shine for friends and family. Term 1 performance is in house, and two Term 2 performance with full costumes and set will be in a local theatre space. Past mini shows include: Peter Pan & Cookies the Musical.

There are no auditions for this class, all students are welcome.

Junior Musical Theatre | Gr. 2-5

Take the stage with Generations leading comprehensive musical theatre program!

Thursdays 5:15-7:15pm

Our program focuses on exploration, growth and mastery as we work on “mini-musical performance” of a popular musical where all students are equally featured, receiving individual coaching and direction to support personal growth. Past shows include: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Jr. & Rainbow Fish The Musical.

Students will develop vocal technique and improve rhythm, pitch and ear training, learn the essential dance skills and steps with character movement, and delve into scene work, improvisation and embrace their imagination!

Please note: We do not cast based on gender, age or racial norms.

Term 1 performance in house, and two Term 2 performance at a local theatre with costumes and set. There are no auditions for our classes.

Youth Musical Theatre Gr. 5-7

Our youth musical theatre troupe is tailored to kids with a real passion for musical theatre.

Mondays 5:00-7:15pm

Group harmony and solo vocal work, scene study and more extensive dance choreography is explored. Students gain more experience in featured roles and small ensemble work while studying various musical styles and genres.

Term 1 ends with a performance cabaret of a musical study. In term 2, we rehearse a small cast musical to perform on stage twice with lights, set and costumes at a local theatre.

Musical Theatre Company

Artists Ages 13-18

Take your training to the next level. Perform in a popular musical, connect with other theatre teens, learn from industry pros and grow as a young artist!

Sundays 6:00-8:30pm

September 2023 to May, 2024

Musical Theatre Company is a year-long experience for young artists ages 13-18. Students work with experienced theatre educators to receive advanced musical theatre training, and perform in a high-quality musical presentation. We offer an inclusive, safe and creative class experience allowing all performers to excel in a professional environment.

Saturday, May 24th & Sunday May 25th Performances at Palmerston Library Theatre

From September to November, students will study and explore 3 different musicals, diving into the stories the songs and characters. They will then vote as a cast which show they would like to perform, and audition for roles int that particular musical. November will end with an in house showcase of the material they’ve rehearsed from the other 2 shows.

Students will enjoy two speciality workshops with industry professionals on subjects such as intimacy training, scene study, vocal technique, choreography mastery, and more! Whatever suits our show and needs most.

Shows studies for the 24/25 class: Something Rotten Jr., Sponge Bob the Musical Jr., Drowsy Chaperone Jr.

Past shows: Mean Girls Jr.

Our final performance will take place at the Palmerston Library Theatre.
