Welcome to Something Rotten! Jr. with our Musical Theatre Company! Two brothers set out to write the world’s first musical in this hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespeare and twenty-first-century Broadway.

Monday, May 19th at Generations studio final rehearsal 5-7:30pm

Tuesday, May 20th at the Palmerston Library Theatre dress rehearsal 4:30-7:00pm (please arrive no later than 4:15pm).

theatre location & accessibility


Something Rotten! Jr. will be held at the Palmerston Library Theatre (560 Palmerston Ave, Toronto, ON M6G 2P7). This is a 15min drive (traffic depending) from the studio.

Parking Information: Green P parking is available at 557 Palmerston Avenue and at 675 Manning Avenue.

TTC Information: Take the Bloor-Danforth subway line to Bathurst subway station, exit to Markham Street, the library is visible through the parking lot.

Theatre Accessibility

The theatre is located in the basement of the library. Backstage and stage are wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms upstairs are gendered and wc accessible. The elevator you take to go from the first floor to the basement of the Theater is a tight fit for scooter users. It also needs a key to be used, so staff will be called to take patrons down. Please contact hello@generationsperformingarts.com if you will require one of our accessible seats.

showcase tickets

We have 110 tickets per show, with no assigned seating. Your kids will be performing in BOTH SHOWS. You do not have to purchase tickets to both performances, only the showcase you wish to attend. All students will be backstage with supervision. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 7th at 7am. Please buy your tickets in advance as we will sell out.

Tickets are $26.50 + HST & FEES to help offset the costs of putting on a wonderful showcase weekend. Children 2 and under who can sit on an adult’s lap are free.

drop off & pick up


​Drop Off:
Please arrive at the Palmerston Library Thaetre 15 minutes prior to the dress rehearsal and 45 minutes prior to the 7:30pm showcase
with hair and makeup done, your costumes will be at the theatre. The entrance to the theatre is inside the door to the right on entrance to the library itself off of Palmerston Avenue, just a few houses North on the west side of the street. Our staff and teachers will be present with the students at all times in backstage spaces.

Important: The Sunday showcase ends with our Medal Ceremony, special awards and final group bow.

Medals: If you were was with us in Season 1 (2022/23) or Season 2 (2023/24) showcase please bring your medal with you to the showcase as you will receive a special Season 3 badge to pin on your medal. All new students will receive a special medal.

Pickup: You may pick performers up/leave from the dressing room inside the theatre after the final bows. You may leave your belongings in the dressing room between shows.

Please come with your hair and makeup styled and ready as per your character direction by Mr. Thomas.

showcase flowers and keepsakes

For many families, giving flowers to performers is a tradition. Rainbow flower bouquest are available to purchase by San Fiori Events and Floral (one of our awesome parents!) ahead of time and some will be available for purchase the day of should you wish to partake in this tradition.

Special this year: Generations Crochet Rainbow Keychains by TherasThings (one of our awesome adult performers) which you can only purchase ahead of time for pick up at the show.

Flowers and keepsakes will go on sale Monday, April 7th at 7am (the same day as the tickets).

Photography and videography are not permitted in the theatre. We will record both showcases. Digital copies of the showcase are included in your Production fee this season. The digital download link will be emailed out to all families by the end of June, 2025.
